From the recording Nyamavhuvhu Night Sounds
Dublin is the first song in Vee Muakrati's Nyamavhuvhu night sounds concept album. It's the first song in a tragic love story that retells the meeting of two characters and the development of their relationship over the rest of the 9 Tracks in the Album. Dublin is the city in which the story is set and song talks about their first meeting and their first adventure that leads to feelings developing between them.
Lyrics
Got off the bus today
Walking down
Walking down by Eden quay
You looked like you were on your way
Heading up to Stephen's Green
You took my
Hand and said
Let's go somewhere that you've never been
It's all good
Is what you said to me
Is what you said and then you sang a song
Get in the rain and say
Dublin Dublin
Getting by everyday
Carry on strugglin'
No matter what they say
This is what we're livin' in
Get in the rain and say
Dublin Dublin
Walked down by the river and stopped at Liffey Bridge
Saw a leprechaun
He was singing along
Had a song
Light it up
Lick it down
Then you pass it around
Can you taste it
Mmm mhh
It's all good
Is what he said to me
Is what he said
And then he sang a song
Get in the rain and say
Dublin Dublin
Getting by every day
Carry on strugglin'
No matter what they say
This is what we're livin' in
Get in the rain and say
Dublin Dublin
Oooooh oooh ooooh oooh oh no
Ooooh oooh oooh oooh no no
Ooooh oooh oooh oooh oh no
Ooooh oooh ooooh
Get in the rain and get in the rain and
Dublin and Dublin
Getting by and getting and
Carry on strugglin'
No matter what they
No matter what they say
This is what we're livin' in
Get in the rain and
Get in the rain and say
Oooooh oooh ooooh oooh oh no
Ooooh oooh oooh oooh no no
Ooooh oooh oooh oooh oh no
Ooooh oooh ooooh
